First: the company HottestDealever is great to deal with. That said, here's the miserable product review: After having read about how these USB 2.0 squids seem be getting rave reviews all over the web, I foolishly purchased mine unreviewed from this Hottestdealsever merchant on Amazon. Huge mistake. The item was a Chinese fake. First, it cannot recognize a 16gb flash drive that works fine when plugged directly into the USB port on the front of my Dell XPS. Second, when plugged into the USB port on the Dell, the computer informs me that despite the listing this merchant posted and the package claiming USB 2.0 speeds, the device is in fact NOT a high speed device but some mislabeled piece of junk from China that runs at USB 1.1 speeds. That's assuming you can get anything recognized on it. When something is recognized, it's clearly running at USB 1.1 rates, as the Dell XPS correctly identified. Hottestdealsever promptly responded to all emails. They quickly identified the product was not as advertised even to them. They quickly sent me a check for the product AND shipping. I would order from them again without question.

The price was right for what you actually get, but it should NOT be advertised as 2.0 high-speed. My high speed USB devices do not run at capacity on this device. If you want a high speed hub do not buy this item.
