I’ve been using this laser pointer and presenter for more than a year now, and I’m quite happy with it. The laser is very bright and thus easily visible even in bright room or when a strong projector is being used. This IMHO is the most important feature of any laser presenter, and many competitors use too weak red lasers. Contrary to a previous review, my battery lid is fine, and I don’t have problems with battery life. However, I should add that I take out the batteries after each use as there is no on/off switch for the laser itself (it may be activated in its box) – that’s the only reason why I don’t rate five stars. A general note: this is a class IIIa (or 3R) laser, which may be harmful for the eyes; so NEVER point it into the audience!

This product does what it says – Basic keyboard, mouse, and video controls. The green laser pointer is pretty lame. It projects only for a few hours before the battery runs low. I find myself constantly changing out the AAA batteries if I want the laser to show up. If however you do not use the laser, then the battery power last a reasonable amount of time. The battery cover constantly comes off and I have to tape it closed for easy use. Therefore, if all you need is the remote control options this device does the job quite well! I use it everyday, six hours a day. Don’t get it for the laser pointer feature unless you own stock in a battery company.

The product is good. As a matter of fact, better than I expected. The micro-sd card is very useful. The green light is very powerful and is quite visible even during the day.

There is, however, a SERIOUS engineering fail: the device doesn’t have an on-off key, so if you put it in your case or even in your pocket, maybe the laser will become on without you notice — and, of course, the batteries go down.

I spent many batteries till I realized what happened (they went down in 1 day, sometimes from morning to night). To avoid that, I had to take off the batteries after ending the use, reinstalling them next time … and, just a few days later, the batteries cover didn’t hold anymore.

In fact, a pretty good product that could be hugely improved with a very simple and cheap additional feature: a single on-off key (as found, for instance, in Logitech presentation controls).
